New 1100 Gallon Indoor Pond!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Its because in the picture the water is about 2/3 full if that :) The pump that comes with it is basically just a weak powerhead at best. Not a good filter what so ever. 2 800 watt or 2 1000 watt titanium heaters should be more then enough if its indoor to put it into the low 80's.

Necrocanis: They had the 12' and 18' models at the Target by my house. It comes with a cover that should be more then capable of keeping the TSN in the pond and off the floor. Mine is the same way freaks out all the time and the other shovelnose just stay calm.

Wangster: Doubtfull on the E cats in the pond, the new E cat tank is going to be my 240 after I transfer all my amazon fish growing out to the pond in a couple years ~Trent

cool deal. I went to target yesterday and they had all the sizes. Only problem is I am broke until the 15th lol. Hope they don't sell out. guess it's a good thing I am like the only person in montana with this idea. Probably the only person in montana with a 33" catfish indoors. haha. Good luck with the ecat transfer, and wear rubber gloves hehe. How big is he now?

I don't have the E cat any more actually, had a bad tank crash about 2 years ago that wiped him out. I'm hoping to get some replacements sometime down the road. An E cat is an electric catfish. I'm not planning on any additional liner, its got a 3 ply liner as is that I'm confident will take the abuse. If it becomes a problem I will invest in a heavy duty EDPM liner ~Trent

that's awesome, you should add some rays

Trust me the pic of the filter on it right now is not picture worthy. Its a POS. I would like to add some rays and plan on doing so but the pond is still cycling and doesn't have the real filtration on it yet or heaters so the rays are a couple months off. I want to be 100% sure the water is ready for them before spending alot of money and still need to do a little more reading up on them as well before my purchase. Starting with a nice motoro probably though down the road. ~Trent
