The sand is Leslie's pool filter sand. I'm not afriad of my TSN eating anyone, its mouth isn't big enough to eat my other shovelnose catfish and I've had it since 2" with tankmates and its always fine. It eats feeder fish but never messed with any tankmates ~Trent
 
Hmm, Target you say? What was it called... I'm getting one if that's where you got it! How much did the whole setup cost you?
 
Search above ground pools on their website, the pool itself was $100 at the local Target, they have 10,12,15, and 18ft rigid sided diameters. Intex is the brand I believe ~Trent
 
I know where I am going today. I searched around town yesterday and target is the only place I didn't look lol. Guess i should have. Did they have the 12' model in stock? Just curious, but I will probably find out before you post a reply. Oh, did you get a cover? That's the one thing with tsn I am afraid of is jumping, my hybrid never jumps, he'll push his head out of the water pretty far with his tail to take food from me, but never jumps. He's really cautious not to run into anything, kinda dainty, but my tsn they are just balls to the walls skittish lol. They jump alot.
