Tank looks awesome! Forgive me if you are aware of the cycling process, but if your not you might wanna check out this link... Or if you have a seeded filter that would help.. or you could even try Seachem Stability.. Good luck with your new project...

Great looking tank!

You are definately going to need more filtration though, unless you're just going to put small community fish.

I would add another xp3 if you can, or for a little less Petsmart has Aquaclear 110s on sale now for $71. Both of the filters listed are great

Id do a school of clown and yo-yo loaches for ****s n giggles. They are very active when in a school of 5 or more and are beautiful slow growing fish. These fish are fast and have barb-like things in their eyes that protects them against predators so i doubt your oscar would be a problem..

Besides those i would probably put some other type of non-agressive cichlid, maybe some Geo's would be nice. Its all up to YOU!

Let us know what you decide on, looking forward to updates!

i love the info on here thanks everyone.. and ya im gonna cycle the tank for a few days b4 i put any fish in there... i got this big thing of stuff to pour in the tank that the guy at the fish place told me to put in... ill post a pic of the bottle

Looks good. Did you fill it to the top, and do you have power heads?

If you dont have power heads you might want to put the spray bar on the XP3 facing forward so it can create some surface agitation as well as some current. Many fish like this, and its a source of oxygen :)

thanks... what are power heads? i have of those fan things under the water creating a current... i just had that waterfall thing facing down cause it was a lil noisy at first

Forgot to ask... Did you buy the XP3 new and did you place the media it brought in the baskets?

What kinda lighting you got there?? It's lookin kinda sweeeet!! Just provide the brand and what kind of bulb it is....
