Very beautiful setup and I too love the green background; I love these custom built filtration setups; I see that you ran a tee off the return line from the pump to recirculate some of your treated water back into the inlet side of your sump that is cool; The setup I am currently building uses a pump/plumbing setup which bleeds off any excess pressure from my pump back into my main aquarium to help with water circulation in the main tank; This may not work but I am going to try it anyway: I've got dual overflows on my 260 plus it was previously drilled with four 1.5" bulkheads accross the bottom so I'am going to join the pipes from the two overflows and tie in one 1.5" drain pipe from the bottom of the tank (and put a ball valve on this one) and then direct all this into the suction side of a Sta-rite irrigation pump rated at about 45 gpm with my calculated friction and head losses; This will all pump up to two separate wet/dry filters I've built which will cascade the treated water down into the top of the tank; I am looking for maximum aeration/ammonia removal; My ray is a pig and loves to eat! My calculations say that the wet/dry filters will only be able to handle about 40 gpm but I will throttle them down by opening the return valve which will decrease the flow to the filters and run more of the water back into the tank; As I said, I love custom filtration setups! I'll build this one, use it and keep an eye on the water quality; Once I get further along I will start a thread with pics;
