cool...just looked them up, they seem pretty cool. Do you know if they will aquascape with the sand at all? i think its pretty neat when fish do that so id like to have something that will move the substrate around.

Severums? Yes, they can. I had my pair of golds dug around large pits much to my dismay not knowing they were about to spawn since they were only 6 inches.lol

How is your water? If it is soft and acid you should plant the jesus out of it and do apistos and discus and tetras.
If it's hard, i know you said you didn't want africans, but some shellies, sanddwellers and cyps would be nice in there.

i always thought it was the other way around
HARD= SA/CA
SOFT= Afro

Well, sorta, there are different water chemistries on the continents.

Very Hard is the Rift Lakes of africa (Malawi, Tanganyika, Victoria)
And CA is pretty Hard too, though not as hard as the Rift Lakes.

Soft is SA and the rest of Africa.

the water is pretty soft....so are keyhole cichlids the same as severums? if so i have always wanted severums but never the space for them. i guess i could work with africans...haha i never have so im not sure why i dont like them. what about yellow labs? i have always liked them, do they like to dig? also is there anything that would go nicely with them

If your water is indeed soft, go for severums, keyholes or anything else from SA. There are a lot of cichlids that will fit your 90g quite well.

well cool...whats the best way to keep the sand clean? should i buy i fish that will keep it clean
