woot...just brought home my first arowana. just a 7" silver but it looks well fed and healthy. drip acclimatizing it right now...how long do i do this for?

You don't know how long to do the acclimation? With the drip method you should be fine at about 30 mins to an hr at most.

For smaller fish around an hour, but a 7" arowana is more hardier so what hot slime said, around 30 mins.

thanks and sorry camera is gone til monday pics will be up then. i dripped it for an hour. i did the same after for the florida gar and clown knife. all i need now are either bichirs or a smaller size ray lol

yep theres 9" florida gar, 9" clown knife and 7" silver arowana. from what i read they are compatible...i think

i might just get bichirs instead of the ray

Hmmm... I have read different, but I'm sure you've fully researched the fish and know how big they all get and what their requirements are. Funny thing is I haven't seen you post in the arowana forum til now. Do you know how fast silver aros grow?
