Yeah I was going to get at the most three, not all at once. Like you guys said, I'm going to do the cycle, which I'm about to look up, with the Danios. You know Koi? How big do they get? I'm just wonder, down the road if I was to get one for a 55 gal. tank or so, would it grow pretty big?

And how much does it cost monthly to feed your fish?

#1-Koi are goldfish, which do best at tempuatures down in the low 70's high 60's while all the fish your talking about, are tropical fish which prefer water up at around 78-82 degress.
#2 The Cost of food is almost insignificant. You can buy on can of flakes and one can of pellets for a total $ of 6 bucks and have it last for 6 months. Also your fish will appreciate it if you change up their diet once in a while, for example throw in some clam meat, insects, worms live feeder fish. basically anything they would come across in the wild. For a total cost of...well nothing.
#3 if you start off with an African Brwon KNife, what else are you interested in getting?

my knife likes to hide in the Egeria densa it has a common name I can't ever spell and grows well
It shouldn't be hare to find and can be free floating if you get a fish that uproots things

koi are cold water nto compatible with tropical, synos dont eat algae so you dont need t wait or let algae build up for that, wait abut 4 -6 weeks for the cycle, jut give your danios 1 tiny pinch of flake once every two days, minimum feeding = minimum excess waste = quicker cycle + no disease problems, get you water tested for ammonia and nitrite after 4 weeks when at 0 then you can add 1 knife for teh time bneing, still feed one every two days for the next two weeks then feed daily still sparingly
most people over feed as they think fish are always hingry. glad to help.

3 synos in a 55 might be a bit to much, the like to squabble and fight over the best hiding area, may even push your knived out of any areas they prefer to, i think two max.

i love nothing more than foraging in my garden for insects and bugs to feed my fish LOL
i love it worms, ants spiders wood louse millipedes beetles
etc

I'm not sure. Those Cat fish you showed me were awesome. Maybe after the summer is over I'll get a job and buy a lot of cool stuff for the aquarium. Also I'll probley end up buying a lot of other aquariums. The one I'm buying now is 250$ For the 55 gallon tank, stand, all the filter and heater and everything along those lines. She bout it for salt water fish, she had for a while. I guess they all died off, or she had to give them away, because she is moving. According to her im getting a good deal. But I have a tank at my dads. Idk how many gallons, Ill have to check next time Im there. I have some Assorted koi in it. there 3-4 inches. There cool to have around, but I think I'll really enjoy this tank, and when I finnaly get everything i want for it, its going to be amazing.

Also, what about cleaning the tank? How offten should I clean it, and When I do, what should I do with the fish. Should I buy another tank, so when I do clean it, I can put the fish in there untill I am done?

Thanks, your helping me a ton aha

Wow, Im going to love going threw my backyard for food for my fishes!! Thats going to be fun.

Also thanks for all the help.

So Pinch of flakes every two days? 7 danios. Kay.

Also, What if I have enough Hiding spots, or tube/caves for each knife? Then what?
