New Discus Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
IMO it's looks stressed. His fins all look tucked close to his body. Once they spread, they will give it a rounder shape. Imo only.

Thanks guys. Each time I do water changes I always do a vac. I have sand in that tank, but found a way where I don't lose much sand or any at all. I will do anything that is in the best interest of my fish. Hell, I put my fish ahead of everything else I do.

i haven't kept them personally, but Fish-Heads Aquatics here in Ocala always have great discus in stock. Wild caught, captive bread, and all different varieties.

LOL! I still have a couple low quality discus in my group from the first ones I bought. I went to Simply Discus and ordered much higher quality at a much HIGHER price! I like your discus, but their are a couple like mine that should have been culls. Go to Simply check out Kennys Discus, and Central Ohio Discus with Mike and the quality is leaps and bounds of what you have got right now but the prices are tough. I have a school of 12 Discus that I have 1200 dollars in, I should have stuck with gold fish! LOL!

I think nearly all new discus owners have received dud stock, I know I did! I've still got some but with good feeds and no bullying which is lessened in groups of 5+. I have two tanks, one with juvies and a grown tank, when you introduce the new fish remove all the decor and give it a reshuffle
