You guys pretty much have me convinced it's a male. I'm about to go catch him/her/it and take a picture of it's underside. Will you sexing experts be able to tell 100% for sure then?

WOW! this is crazy. By all outward appearances it should be a male. No female at that size displays spangling on the fins. the vents look like a v. I'm going male and possibly the nicest I have ever seen.

Even though it's rounded off, it's more narrow at the bottom than the top so I think it's kind of V'ish looking too. I guess he's a male.

Believe me I'm perfectly happy either way but I just HAD to know for sure. Any other opinions?

After I put him back in the tank his bar darkened up quite a bit...stress I'm sure.
