10gallons is too small for a single convict, even a female. Without yelling at you.. Use it as a QT tank and don't bother with the rams or any other fish you think might work.

I don't understand what you're asking. Just take the tiger barbs to the petstore and trade them for food or something. Then you can use the 10gallon for when your fish get sick or beat up.

You could set it up as a planted quarantine tank if you wanted. You can even get as many plants as you want without being overstocked.

I have to agree, think you got a full house bro. Sounds like you also have
bichirs, and they def. will need something bigger than a 29.
