This should not be in the CA section as to you getting a 10 with tiger barbs in it. Tiger barbs shouldn't even be kept in a 10. A 20 long is minimum IMO or no never mind any idiot would know that they are active fish and need lots of room. Just like zebra danios sure they are 2" long but they are very active and need lots of room. Please do the fish of the world a favor and don't buy any more fish. You are already deep over your head with overstocking so why continue. You need to re-evaluate your tanks and do the RIGHT thing for your fish not what you want. Keep a single species for a while or a family of species like Thorichthys or Microgeophagus. Stick with small small fish. Until you get a tank over 90 gallons then you need to pick and choose and narrow things down. Most aquarium fish that are easily aquired don't need much more than 90 gallons. I mean besides most Parachromis and Amphilophus and Vieja. I am not talking about like RTC's or any of the huge monsters that we see on MFK but the general med. cichlids.

y'all are just beating a very dead horse...

your doing pretty well doug:)
but your 29 is alittle overstocked, and it will be quite a bit more than a little overstocked,
for your 29 it looks like you have 2 options:
1. sell off most of the fish, keeping only 3-4 of them and make sure the ones you keep will be able to live in a 29 for life;)
2. wait until the dempsies hit maturity and the dominant jd will kill all the other fish so your left with a single jd that is in to small of a tank to be happy:(
personally i would perfer to have a lightly stocked 29 with happy fish that will probably breed for you, to a single jack that will be comfortable and a fun pet at first but will lose color and begin to act depressed very quickly only to eventually die due to bad water quality:(

did you cycle the tank hope so

move the catfish to the 10G and any live barrers if you still got some and the female cons

then work on sellin two of the JDs and then you be alot better off still would be a little over stocked in the 29G but it wouldn't be to bad

Also work on finding a good home for the senegal or a bigger tank
