Actually I do know. I went back to the pet store yesterday and it turns out there is a bit of a story to him. He was turned over to the petstore awhile back and one of the employees took him home and put him in with her oscars. He was very shy at first but by the end had claimed an entire end of her tank and the last straw was he took a large chunk out of one of her oscars so she brought him back to the petstore which is then when I took him. She said he is a pig and eats whatever. I have a large Texas Cichlid (see above pic) which I got from the same store with no background on and he is the worst eater I have ever had. We are trying to pellet train him right now and are going on day 4 or 5 I can't even remember without him eating. He will ONLY eat bloodworms. I am holding out but so is he. This fish seems way from friendly that my Texas. I don't think we will have to many issues with him

Very nice midas/RD hybrid. I would say +1 to Justarn, if you have a large 200+ gallon tank these guys could probably live together if there were 3-4 other large fish to spread the aggression out. If you want to keep them alone, 75 gallon is about the smallest size they will be happy in long-term.
Some tips about the feeding- fish eat when they feel comfortable, do you have any décor in the tank? If it is bare I would try adding some fake plants or flower pots. If you aren't seeing any progress in a week or two, try soaking the pellets in crushed garlic. This will stimulate the appetite, I have had luck with this.
Best luck!

It is bare right now. I do have some plants I could put in and decor but haven't yet. We kind of got him spur of the moment and was not planned ;) He will be alone forever as I don't want him to hurt any other fish. I have been trying soaking my pellets in crushed garlic for my Texas but he is still holding out. UGGG!!!!
