New flowerhorn fry , did I pick up a beast?
New to flowerhorns . Little guy has a tiny bump and some good blue markings witch I like alot . What do you think ? Don't really know what people personally look for .IMG_20190112_123932941.jpg IMG_20190112_141749162.jpg

Looks like he/she has some nice red and a good flowerline(that is the black marking down its sides) If its a female it will remain on the smaller side of usually 3-6 inches. Males tend to be much larger ranging from 6-11 inches. Dont feed live foods. Feed good pellets and occasional frozen bloodworm and cooked and finely chopped shrimp to see the best growth rates out of him or her. Keep your water clean with weekly water changes. There are the very basics for caring for your little one. Welcome to the world of flowerhorns, they are like underwater dogs with how responsive they are to their owners. One of the main reasons I love the breed.
