new FX5.. WOAH!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I say have 3 fx5s, dazy chained, partial output from the first two filters returning to the tank. The rest of the output goes to the next filter. The first filter, coarse filtration, next filter, medium filtration, the last filter fine and bio filtration. :)

...........not something I would invest in though :-P

Will do when I get my 300 acrylic!:naughty::ROFL:

Anyone else hase some awesome setups they are dying to display?!
:thumbsup::woot:

I use and like several fx series filters. But the best performance and utility I have gotten, for the money, is from two OcenClear canisters with an inline heater. One holds mechanical and chemical filtration and the next one is biological. It takes more parts and a separate pump to plumb it all and is not self contained, like one fx. But multiple fx's have more plumbing and complications.

dude i feel ya! i had to just sit and look at it for a while before i put it on my 120 to get some bio built up for the 240. i will hopefully have 2 for my 240.
but i do love this filter i only have the sponges that came with it on it right now.
i was wondering(dont mean to hijack) but does anyone know how the water flows through the baskets? maybe a flow chart :D

congrats on the new filter too!!!

I have run one for the past year on my 265g and love it. Can't wait for tax return so I can put a second on that tank and get rid of the two HOB filters. Very easy to take care and not much noise, if any.
