So either way, they shouldn't be together right now? What about when they get to be about similar size? They'll be in a 300 in about a month...

Yeah, I know. But it should work for like the first year, shouldn't it? I'm gonn abe moving in about a year and then I'll be building a nice big tank/pond for him...

im not familiar with wolf fishes but on the part of the gar, mine would bully his tank mate IF i dont feed him for like a day. so i make sure he has steady(i mean daily) supply of food. i keep mine with a CK, 2 oscar, a pacu, a marbled pim and an iridescent shark they have been tank mates since i got him. hes now 26" with no problems other than what ive mention.their sizes doesnt have much differences thou.

but yeah most would say they are killing machines i guess im lucky to have a behaved one.
