Well, here is the gar. It was sold as a gator gar at AD in Maryland, but I don't really know what he is. I like him though so that's all that matters...

Thanks man. I'm kinda glad it's not a gator b/c I don't know what I'd do w/ something that big...
platyrhincus/oculatus. (florida/spotted). they grow to be about a little less than 24" but rarely grow over 24". so your 300g will be fine for him for life.
