So are you guys sure about the current.. Lol

I've got a 3200 gph and a 1600 gph power head and an fx5 and air pump running this tank tank is a hair over 110 gal. Seems like it is churning!
I keep questioning if this is too much.
I saw rob said 50x in the sticky lol

Current is good for them if anything. It makes your tank last longer too in a way. And now you know he'll eat so just wait till he takes the other food.

Have you seen the Congo where they live?
 
I honestly have very little current in my tank. I think the current only comes into play in smaller tanks so they don't hit the sides.
 
Yes i am familiar with the congo, however you see videos like
this and it makes me think they may not need tons of current.
do you think they hang out in the current most of the time, they may "hunt" in the current but wonder if they "stay" there much.

Don't think they need current. The prey they eat may get stuck in eddys and get thrown around In those high currents and that's when they strike. So they don't need to be in high current in aquariums but then again they do in their natural environment.

Just a thought.
