No, it would not, especially when you "try" to do thing that you have zero idea about it. Just stick with what you can do, and make it work with your ability, instead of overthink

Well im keeping him a supply of live until he gets comfortable, he is banging the glass a lot and rubbed his nose up pretty good.
Ive noticed he will eat feeder every couple days, but will kill several every day and just bite them in half and they will be stuck to the inlets.
He killed the teacher fish (silver dollar) that was with him as well ...lol

He is pretty beefy. Way more so than I've had before.
He banged up his snout a little over the last few weeks but I think he has calmed down some.

Does he hit live food hard? You could always get him good and hungry and drop in just one feeder always in the same spot. After doing that several days start dropping in dead feeders again in that same spot. From there switch to tilapia etc after several days. It's worked for me breaking other types of predators.
I've been kind of lazy with him. He will eat minnows or feeders but never eaten with me watching! I froze some minnows today and he will eat them dead but no go on tilapia yet.
I'm going to not give live just dead minnows and see if I can get him to convert to tilapia.

if he's taking frozen minnows you're half way there already. it's only a matter of time and hunger.
