and here is how i made my own filters for the 15' pool that housed the large cats
first i bought 3000 bio balls , then 2 large garbage cans and 2 red tubs from lowes

second i drilled the drain holes in the garbage cans and filled them with bio balls 3/4 way full

then i cut the bottom 3 inches off of the red tub and then drilled a million holes :) x2, then i
cut a piece of filter material to fit in the new drip tray, i set it on top of the bio balls and cut a hole in the lid to fit a 1" inside diameter hose that i ran to a tetra 1000 gph pump, and were done, very easy and now we can filter 2000 gph with these filters, set up a couple of 2x6 across your pool and set them up there,

Im curious I gave your son a redtail a tiger shovelnose and a red tail tiger shovel nose cross also an emperor cichlid I was just curious do you still have them if so any chance you could post some pics? thanks oh yeah ridiculous fishroom nice to see the fish have plenty of room.

How much did the 4000 gallon fiber glass tank cost to buy? In that I would like to add a fish room to my house one day and adding something simlar like this fiberglass tank would save a lot of time and money by having the tank trucked in and laid on a cement pad instead of having to build up everything.

Wow, rich. I can't wait to come over and see the new improvements.
Everything look's really good. I'm glad to see you got all the glass tank's in there without any problems.

Holy crap, I love you man!! Just finished reading through this thread and all I can say is SWEET!! You'd the F'N man!!

well i promised the guy that i bought it from that i would not tell anyone how much i paid for it, but i can tell you that i was told that it originally costed 168,000 to buy it and the stand, filtration and install it and fill it wityh decor and saltwater fish, i later talked to the guy at the place that made the tank and he said that it originally cost 68,000 for the tank alone, i di not pay anything close to that :), sorry, but i hope that helps

very nice dream setups. Where did u getthe 800 gallon tubs? How much? Those black breed in there? Love the 4000

That's good at least knowing how much it cost bran new in that it would be good to know it in that the idea of a large fiber glass tank would be good for a giant fish room instead of trying to build something from strach. But I could at least make in the top three possibities for a new fish room of 2000 to 5000 gallons.
