I noticed people were asking about my jd so i figured i would update for anyone who is interested. I realize that im a bit late..lol. I ended up buying some larger frozen brine shrimp and he ate them right away. After a few weeks of him eating regularly and putting on some weight. i wanted to try my luck at spawning him. i bought the largest female jd in the store. she was probably around 3.5 inches. They hit it off almost immediately. The female jd is a far better eater than the male. The male eventually learned from watching his mate and started eating new life spectrum pellets. Fast forward to now and i have a very healthy and beautiful mating pair. The male is probably around 7.5 inches now and the female around 4.5 inches. i swear that they just keep getting more beautiful as they grow. I just love watching them care for the hundreds of tiny fry.
