How do you differentiate a PBB from a lap? They really look alike to me when they are juveniles!

King-eL;4430250; said:At 8-12 inches a lap will already show a full adult patterns while PBB will still slightly look like a juvenile patterns. If the finlets are more than 16 then it's for sure a PBB but however some lap do have 15-16 finlets but never pass 16 finlets.
Best to get both species and you'll learn to ID them. BY looking at pics it will still confuse you a bit.
