L203 is the former L090c and L090d, they were seperated into becoming L203. LDA65 doesn't have the same coloration. go to oddball's gallery I'm sure he has a pic of his old one.

Although it is hard to tell with plecs that grow as slow as Panaques. Very few have kept them or observed them from juvy stages to adulthood.

Yes an no, at least you know you will have a good fish for quite a while. I wouldn't mind, but there are other plecos out there that I would want to get that reach those sizes.
