jp80911 jp80911 used these gloves to hand-catch a footlong Black Wolffish.

It was epic.

And he still has all of his fingers.

That's nuts! I need more details on that story. I could use those for musky fishing too. They have razor blades for teeth as well.

One of my pirayas jumped out of my 220 gal during feeding. They chew through nets. This is when you really need gloves... :)
In your years of fish keeping have you ever had a fish attack your hand during maintenance ?

So I've been asking a few experts in the piranha world as to what would be the best setup for filtration on the tank. I'd like to open it up to other opinions unless I should change where I'm posting this. I currently have a hydor wave maker /power head and 2 bio wheel 350s. I'm not really impressed with the bio wheels so I'm looking for a change. Any suggestions on canister or hob would be appreciated. I've never owned a canister... Would I be blown away? I was thinking ac 110s or eheim 2217 or fluval 406 or some combination. Obviously I don't want to spend a ton but would like to do what's best for the fish and secondly the plants. Thanks. If I need to post this elsewhere let me know.

Piranha poop is great fertilizer.
Your plants will love it.
Just make sure that you have new light bulbs that emit a suitable spectrum. And change them for new religiously

I've got an aqeon flora max and a zoo med flora sun for lights. But like I said I don't have any idea what I'm doing and they were. Cheap so I got them. Do you use other fertilizers at all? I've seen like liquid co2 and the other seachum products but I don't know what I'll need if anything? I don't want to get into the whole co2 injection thing. I don't have too many plants in there but would like to cover the back a little more and something to provide shade. But I just know what I've read on the Internet and have zero experience.

How often do you change them? They lose power or effectiveness I take it?
Thanks

Got the fish eating raw shrimp, nightcrawlers, and baby convicts. I would have to say this is my favorite piranha I have owned. Some of the convicts are still too small and super fast so the p is constantly on the hunt and chasing. I may have to get a longer tank if the fish grows much more because it's speed is impressive. I owned a black diamond for about a year and a half several years ago and I think think I've seen the elong move more than the rhom did during the entire year and a half.
