Dont use distilled water. Those screens will hold bacteria any surface will but its ll bout surface area....more area more bb. I stop using all chems asap.
 
Except dechlorintor. Id use prime if it were me its more concemtrated md will last you longer

What is prime? And he's in distilled water atm. I even got an ro system and do water changes with that and I still dk what's going on...this should be easier, idk why it's so difficult for me
 
personally I'd use tank water and wouldn't use any of the chemicals put the airstone in and make sure you put a cover on the bowl
I was concerned the tank water was the problem, perhaps I'll just put him back in the tank then. Idk wtf is going on. He does look better today..

I had got same on my Oscar (Mr BIG)
So I followed these steps

1) Try to slowly raise the temp. from base to about 28°- 30°
2) Most effective way is to put a cap full of methaline blue in the cycled tank(most effective in quarantine tank as no decoration will be satined)
3) add salt about 6 medium pinches or 3 1/2 tablespoon of "sea salt".
4) do the proce

Prime is basically a dechlorinator. Makes tap water fish safe. If you have an RO system then you can use that water but just add trace elements to the water. What are u using the RO system for?
