Good idea! That and a drip system and you should be golden (drip system optional lol)

seriously, you shouldnt try to grow out a tank but instead just to get it in the 220 right at the start. 1. becuase itll prevent any unnecessary stress. and 2. because alot of people who say that their 40 gallon breeder will be a grow out for a ray and will get a bigger tank when it needs it either a. doesnt get the tank at all. or b. does not expect the ray to grow so fast and thus not having a bigger tank.

levi do you guys have chlorimines??? i dont know how far you are from don but a simple carbon filter if no chlorimines would be ideal and save you a big head ache :)

um...... i have a 220.

and as for the wet/dry, i dont have one :( but that is a great idea.

Nic, no chloramines here, I don't know about there. I only use carbon on my drip system, and I'm guilty of being lazy on changing it. However, I've never been able to test for chlorine in any of my tanks or drip water.

Don......time to make a sump buddy...........

well you have a whole thread dedicated to you indy DIY guys... id make a sump for your 220 and diy over flows and tie the 220 and the 40 breeder together... lots of water to keep waste diluted and everything in check..you can do this very cheap and easy and would solve any problems....

it would save you the daily water changes and keep the water more stable.... some pvc and make a couple overflows... then get a pump and T it off simple and easy... i would keep a large sponge filter in the 40 breeder on back up (power failure).... keep it simple bro and all is good...
