New RBP Mom- Need advice and help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
As suggested tank not completely cycled. How are the fish? Still alive?

Yes, they are. 2 seem "normal" for whatever that means in this situation and one a little less so.
Have been doing water changes. And using the seachem stability. Also, found a shrimp that was back in a corner where they congregate that was uneaten and furry....got it out.

The furry stuff as you described is FUNGUS pleas don't overfeed and remove food that has not been eaten.. I suggest feeding them lightly until your aquarium is cycled. You must feed the baby Redbelly's or the will attack and eat the weakest to survive.

I would buy Microbe lift and use that liberally to help start the cycle....... Can you get some gravel/rocks/filter material from someone who has an established tank??? That would help HUGE!!! And I agree with everything above.... get a REAL TEST KIT!!!

Unfortunately the OP lives in a rural area and don't know anyone with a aquarium.

Got the test kit. All good except ammonia. Which I know is severely bad if theres ANY. working on leveling that and getting a better filtration.
