Great, I'm only planning on using two liters of purigen and two liters of matrix carbon so I should be in good shape.
You will be pleasantly surprised. :D

I had better be, if I'm not I'll be sending you the bill. :naughty:

Which would you recommend for the first chamber? Purigen or Carbon? I'm thinking Purigen and then Carbon but I'm just guessing.

fill with purigen in there special bags... then add carbon to fill the rest up...

No bags came with the Purigen. I was planning putting the purigen in one chamber and the carbon in the other chamber.

Please excuse the post in two seperate threads.

WOW, simply wow! I really don't know what else to say about this reactor and media. I am amazed at how much my tank has cleared up in under 24 hours. It really is a night and day difference. There are no tanins in my water at all and just a little cloudiness left. I can't wait to see how my tank looks in a week.

I would have no problem recommending this set up to anyone. Say what you want but this setup works. I'm sure there are other ways to do the same thing but this one works just fine for me.

I'm not sure how well these pictures show the actual clarity of the tank. My camera and picture taking skills leave a lot to be desired.

Here it is right after a water change and when I added the reactor.

Here it was earlier today. Still not perfect but getting closer.

Purigen only come in bags that hold 100ml and bags don't play well in media reactors. They are designed to fluidize media that is not in bags. Therefore the bag would be 100% pointless. It is great in canisters, but that's about it.
