Seems like there are too many bottom dwellers as it is. For each level I like to keep max length of each fish equal or less than half of the tank length. For your tank I would say elephant nose=12in senegal bichir=12in african brown knife=10in so 12+12+10=34. I would consider that too many bottom, but since they are not particularly aggressive there shouldn't be a problem, but I wouldn't push my luck with another bichir.
That's just my personal stocking preferences(the reason there are so many"I"s in the post) . I like to try to lightly stock to make it easier on myself, but I'm sure he could get away with it.i like bichirs in groups but that only personal preference, the OP can always upgrade!!
