The original picture is a red tail cude, or Acestrorhynchus falcatus if you're looking for Latin. They get much bigger than 4". 12"+ is more realistic.

Believe that's the yellow tail that get over a foot.. my knowledge on them is blurry however. You may be right.

Biggest red tail tail seen 10in. Typically 8-10 typical. The growth is slow. I’m sure if able to keep long will get to 12inches plus.

Yellow will get bigger and seen some big wild caught easily over 12inches.

Original pic in this thread was for the smaller insaline. They have stripes.

Falcatus don’t have stripes.

yEAH my red and yellow tail cudas never had stripes.

I ended up giving them to my friend tetra tank 6 foot big tetras

i just dont think there is a place where they would mix because my needlenose are almost a foot, my marbled gar is 7 inch my hajuta 7 inch and red wolf is same size. Othher big tank has african cichlids and when u mix predatory tetra with them i find they never get food cause the chiclids hog it all.
