oh ok. i fast him 2-3 times a week though. and i used to feed him 20 pellets twice a day but i lowered it down to 20 pellets once a day and i fast him alot. idk if its bloat or just his belly is like that lol. and where can i get epson salt and distilled water? is distilled water from sink? i also heard of green pea method apparently it helps with constipation?

U can get epsome salt in the medical section of your grocery store distilled water is in the drink section comes in a jug dont use facet water distilled has no chemicals in it its like pure h2o. The peas work for constipation but if its bloat u should order some clear just in case.

Can you post a picture? I would like to see his stomach. Feed your flowerhorn as much as you feel is necessary. If food particles come out of his gills, he is definitely getting to much. Also, DO NOT feed your flowerhorn what it can each in 1 or two minutes. I'm not trying to bash on you coflowerhornguy, because each fish is unique. If I fed my fish what he could eat in 1 or 2 min her would eat 100 pellets a feeding. He eats about 20 pellets in 8 seconds. He is a brat and acts like he doesn't ever get to eat!

If you can snap a photo of him it may be easier for us to see his bloat.

Cant really see well but just looks like he is a fatty I wouldn't worry about that. Well I guess it all depends on fish and pellet size.

He may be bloated. It is hard to tell. I would try soaking some food in the distilled water and epsom salt, just to be safe. He may just be fat, but it can't hurt to be safe.
