New to "monster" fish. need help deciding on some.

oscars dont have teeth!(?) i checked my oscar when it died and theres nothing in there, just a hard and bumpy surface in their mouth, molars at best!

as for the electric eel / gars i know that the E.Eel is in the knife family X(. i had no reason to say that though... i also know gars get too big, i had fake gars once but all of them died seemingly in sync one day during new years. all smashed into the glass at the same time i had 5 baby needles.

Needle Nose Gars grow to a max size 12", they wouldnt be happy in a 30G tank

and

Oscar grows HUGE too, it wouldn't be happy either ;) Your oscar is not BIG enough for you to notice its teeth :P
 
If you want teeth, try Red Tail Payara or Sabre Tooth Tetra

BIG teeth, lotta sharp teeth, it won't disappoint you but keep them in a 55G tank or bigger

my oscar died at over a foot how was it not big enough?? when i had it it was in my 75gal (not my saltwater tank). when i got it, it was OLLD and full grown, died this year.

see the youtube vid, it shows the guppy just sitting there paralyzed. i had to deal with that with my chichlids i dont want that >_<. i want them to eat it all.

i stand corrected! but now im even more depressed!!! (sinks back in my chair) all those teeth and the fish dont devour their prey?? :confused:.

i like many of your ideas though! just looked up the rainbow snakehead and feel better already =). hope they got nice teeth lol. ill look up the papyra and saber tooth soon.

you got any vids of it eating?? and can i keep saber tooth's in a shoal to re-inact piranhas??? do they tear flesh and eat like them??
