New to Rope Fish - help on set up

Ya, I had to put ice packs in it before after hurricane Irma went through and we lost power for nearly a week. I think it was you that told me how to keep it aerated and not stagnant too.

Heat is back on but the tank was a nice 76 this morning. All fish were out eating and playing this morning. Such a beautiful sight to see lol
 
Maybe you'll be lucky and she'll ignore the shrimp! But they're cheap because people often buy them as feeders.... ;)

Either way your're getting a heater, right? They really like the temps a bit higher than 76. I noted more activity when I bumped it from 78 to 80.

Ya, that's how I seen it. They are a fantastic clean up crew after the pleco and piggies get their fill. But at .39 I'm ok if she eats them, I can get more. All 6 there this morning, I think 2 are usually inside the stump with beamer, she pulls the blood worms in there and eats. Lol

My tank is usually at 79, 76 was the temp over night with out heat in the house and using the hot water bottle and wrapping it in fleece. It should be higher by the time I get home as the heat was fixed before I left. On break right now.

yeah I put 50 in my tank at 3:30 they were gone by 4 and I saw all 3 of my ropes chasing them

it's funny I put 30 in there yesterday and did a heavy feeding but that didnt slow them down. My LFS is ordering me 250 I'm wondering how long they will last. I'm hoping some escape to give them something to chase later on
 
Yeah it’s been kinda chilly here the past few days. Glad to hear that Beamer made it okay and is a happy girl .

If you need a heater before you can buy one, I can send you a temporary one to get you through the cold snaps. It isn’t auto/on/ off and I think it is for 10-20 gal, but it does work. Let me know!

Thank you :) that is very kind of you to offer. Beamer was a real trooper :) she is back to being her happy active self again too, i just lover her so much!
