New Tropical Pond

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
amazing. I will be watching for picture updates. If only it was warm enough here. PS all, this is how you do a pond and keep non-native tropical fish without worrying about harming local waterways!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nice pond/pool!! i wish i had room to build one like that.. man what kind of fish could be in there.. *drills*

I just found a super cool acid to color my railing. It gives a natural look. I wanted to take the attention away from the railing and put more on the vegetation.

The rainy season is finally here. You can see the quantity of water coming of off of the roof into the filters.

Yes, my water is still green. I'm not too worried though. I'd give it a couple more month.

How long is the rainy season? Rain everyday I assume?

It might actually be good to have small water changes everyday.

The rainy season last about 6 months. This year we've had about a month of no rain in the middle of the rainy season which is super weird. Global Warming? For some reason in my other pond I had a problem with algae during the rainy season and then in the summer the algae went away. I don't know if the rain has something in it or it was just the filter maturing. As long as I'm staying dry, I love the rainy season.
