New WC Palmas Palmas and Delhezi

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How long does it take these guys to digest live fish? The Palmas still has a big bulge. It is moving so slowly. I fasted the whole tank last night... trying to decide between doing that again or giving more epsom soaked small pellets....

UGH

Maybe I should start a separate thread for it.

My African butterfly fish took a day to spit out the skeleton of a danio, so it may take a bit longer for something like a loach

Take a photo of the bulge when u get the chance. There's a possibilty of more than one Kuhli loach in palmas belly. How many do u believe is on there? That could be a reason tge bulge hasn't decreased.

The kuhlis are long! Maybe she is eating them one by one...

I'd take them out but it would involve me taking the entire tank apart. Which is why they're still in there...

I'd just leave it alone. Let the poly's take the Kuhli out. Prrhaps, decrease the feeding for other fishes. If the palmas is bulging. Don't think it would have a huge appetite for pellets.

I went to take a photo and it is much less pronounced! And lower. I think it just took awhile because it was a lot of food to process. I fed them normally today with pellets and she ate some but not a ton so I think she'll be fine. Phew! Since the Senegal died of a fluke I was probably a bit paranoid. I didn't want to lose her too!

Saw a kuhli loach flipping around injured the other night. The polys are definitely hunting them. Sorry kuhlis! I feel badly but there's nothing I can do to save them. They lived a happy 5+ years....

The cirrrrrcle of liiiiiife.......
