Bubble traps aren't necessary in SW. Their main purpose is to prevent stray micro bubbles from a protein skimmer from reaching the display tank...but I digress.
Its funny how one of the hobby's main criticisms of Fluval canisters, for example, is their flawed design that allows water to bypass the media, yet here we are advocating just that![]()
Twighlight zone? MFK users advising people to simplify filtration? Get out of here...
......., and HIGHLY effective even for the biggest tanks.
You certainly pressume to speak for us all...which is uncalled for. You continue to miss the point every time. Obviously the arguing somehow validates something. ...now I digress..
There is no way to bypass media in a sump....unless you build a wall and a moat around the media....
This thread has begun to bore me...no offence OP.
Letting us all know this thread has begun to bore you is uncalled for.
And yet again, the thread has been derailed into a pissing contest about some pseudo science behind sump design being a" make or break" factor in the average aquarium.Letting us all know this thread has begun to bore you is uncalled for.
