You need to hide your filtration either put it in ground, or you can take the dirt you dig out from the pound site and mound it up on to make a waterfall coming from your filtration unit.

With that pump you got hooked up to that jug thing try tying a reg white sock to the exit tube of your pressure pump. Or layer 3 socks one over another and hook that up to the exit end of your pressure pump tie them on so the socks do a ballon effect when you turn on your pressure pump. Vola DIY pressured diatomic filtration. Best part is its silent.

Which then leads away from the whole ghetto concept. And having already "put my back into it" once before, no thanks. Now if you are volunteering to come and dig the hole, put up a fence to keep dogs out and then cover to keep all the seabirds out, then we have a different story.
