I'll keep an eye out. Always looking for a new tank for myself. Not sure why cause my wife will not let me have it, no space....lol.

Look in the pentair tubs with a window. They aren't too bad price wise and will get a lot of real estate for the money.

Either that or diy plywood tank would be another option.

Florida....all the tanks I've come across need to be resealed or cracked. Acrylic needs buffering or should be a sump. Despite all these flaws the prices are way high. Similar to a new system.

There's a local guy im following that does acrylic tanks and a fare price but local pick up.

Till I get divorced I guess....;)
Like I said, I'll go across all of georgia and the neighboring states if I have to.

Plywood is another good option, as I can make the dimensions to my liking, but I won't get a large tank with my budget. I'd be better off finding a steal on cl.

For a 6x3x2, 270 gallon, the plywood and sealant alone would cost $260. I'm better off finding an all glass one for $250-300.

I may need to start the Pennies for Polys gofundme that a few members were talking about a while ago to get the 430 gallon on cl.

That or if someone wants to outdo Polyaddict86 Polyaddict86 (He bought a Koliba and Teugelsi for me and refused to let me pay him back), they can buy the tank for me :)

Polyaddict86 Polyaddict86 You may need to up your game. You might have competition for most generous forum member soon.

There's a 2000 on cl right now, and it's local. I get the feeling it's going to be there for a while, because even though it's a good deal, it's still expensive. The seller is asking $2100 for it, which is $1.05 a gallon. That's about as close as you'll find a tank that size to $1 a gallon.I won't rush you on buying it since it may be there for a while.

Now that you remind me, I do remember you mentioning buying a new house while you were pm'ing me. I wonder what you'll use the extra space for.

Buying a house not that easy, alot of stuff need to be approve by the city or goverment, for a fisrt time buyer its hard, sellers dont like to sell houses to first time buyers cause of the goverment inspection, if goverment sees something wrong with the house the seller needs to fix it or they wont sell to use.
I cant afford a brand new house here in bay area since they cost $500k and up.

Yeah, I understand that Ca can be expensive.

The last couple sentences of my post was a hint towards you getting more and or larger tanks.

I just measured the Teugelsi and it's actually 6.5". This is the first time I got the opportunity to actually measure it, so that's why the measurements I listed before weren't correct. Considering the Teugelsi is 6.5", I would guess the Koliba is also 6-7", the largest Sen is 6.5", second largest is 4", the two smaller ones are 2-2.5", the Ornate is 8", and the Ropefish is 10".

Although I'm not sure if that changes how long I have until I run into issues.

You mayba have till next summer before running into problems, but even now the koliba and ornate can eat the two small sen.

Maybe I'm just old fashioned (even though I'm not that old) but asking others outside of family for money for any reason that's not a crisis / urgent doesn't sit right with me. I'm of the mind that you work for the things you need, especially if they're for recreation. I know you're working hard in school and that is a priority over a job/makes a job impossible, but I'd stick with your family regarding getting a new tank, particularly since you can get away with one that is relatively inexpensive in the long run.

Just my 2 cents.

Again, I applaud you wanting the best for your fish! Too many people want to cram huge fish in tiny tanks.
