Anyone have a suggestion on how to handle the fry situation? I have a 2.5 gal they could go in, but they're too small right now.

The fry are free swimming and roaming. I have no idea what to do about it. The parents are protecting them well.

umm get another tank to grow out fry??? I put half of mine in a ten and the rest are with mom and dad, however the dad is flirting with the other carpintis I thought was a male - it has a breeding tube......

I am just not sure when to do it. They are still very small.

I siphoned them out with an airline tube that was a little bigger than normal aquarium airline tubing. You could buy a small siphon made for smaller tanks that would work. I used a plastic fish bag with water to cushion their fall to siphon them into and then floated them in the other tank for temp since my tanks have all the same chemistrys just different temps.

your welcome. You should do it soon. I think my fry are about as old as yours. They get to be too strong of swimmers and you might have a tough time siphoning them out
