nintendo wii x-box 3-60 or playstation 3

Wow thanks for the input. Do you know where I can get a nintendo wii, everywhere seems to be sold out. ANd which "bundle/package" would you reccommend, I know there are several available.

Wii only comes in one package Im aware of. But for the other 2, the more expensive packages are for backwards compatibility. So if you dont care about old games, get the cheaper package.

As for avaliability, Black Friday might be a good chance... Online buying might be a good way to buy. Otherwise, unless youre VERY lucky, find out when your local game store gets shipments, and get there before it opens that day. I dont mean a full blown campout, just for example if it opens at 9, I would get there at 8:15 or so. Bring music :)

If the Wii comes in multiple packages though, look at the specifications and features and see what they are. Wii isnt nearly as expensive as the others, so price shouldnt be a problem. Just go by what you want. Wii already comes with so much backwards compatibility right out of the box, so I dont know what else they can put in the bundles...

I owned all three consoles. I have sold the Wii and soon the Xbox is going. I would get the PS3 if I was you.

It all depends on what you want in a system. Just like owning a pet. What do you expect to get from it? If you have 600 bucks and all you care about are graphics and you dont give a crap what you play, PS3 is for you. If graphics dont really matter (although some Wii games look 360 quality. Mario Galaxy for example), and you really want a FUN system that will keep you endlessly entertained, and you might be a little hard pressed on cash (who isnt?), Wii is for you.

I'm not denying the fun of the 360, but I sure am for Playstation.

If you want a playstation, PS2 all the way!!! ^__^' Serious. It has some MIND-BLOWING games and is pretty cheap now, and so are its games. It appeals to a wide audience too, just like Wii. 360 and PS3 are for mature gamers, I can only think of 2 or 3 games suitable for kids on them. Excluding movie based games of course. WARNING: Dont even think about buying them. Its a cruel and unusual punishment... :)

I'm not really sure what I want 100% yet. I already have a PS2 and I am very happy with it, I just want a new system. So far I like the PS3 because if I get the 60 gig I can play any PS2 games, which I can buy used for $5. I dislike it because of the obvious sky high price. For the wii I like the low price, I'm really into graphics though and I'm really not a fan of the controllers. And the 360s price isn't bad but I have read way to many horror stories about the red ring.

Why would you have the PS3 with ps2 capability if you already have a ps2? If games are 5 bucks, just keep ps2 and enjoy it! I am, and Ive had mine for years. Its still crankin' out fun games to this day. Rock Band and GH3 just came out.

Trust me, the Wii controllers are always confusing the first time :) And you can play gamecube on it as well, there is Guitar Hero, some games use the Zapper gun attatchment, sports attatchments, and there is the 'classic' controller for the Virtual Console. So you have many options other than the wiimote, which is already fun to use once you figger it out.

I would say it would be between Wii and 360... Unless youre a serious, serious, mature hardcore gamer with way too much money, I wouldnt even glance at the ps3... But thats me. :/

Ps3 isn't $600 anymore.. It's now $399.

I saw that on the commercial. It says STARTING AT 399. There are other packages out there that cost more. And I seriously, very seriously, they would put all of them at 400 so fast. Sony is already broke as is due to the success of the wii, which it rightly deserves.

360. Hand's down the best...I've got all 3.

:iagree: Every console has its failures, xbox 360s have been a big issue and I think Microsoft is being cool about admitting their flaw and allowing for free fixing if you receive the red ring, but I have known many people that have had a lot of problems with their ps2 when it was first released. It happens. Microsoft jumped the gun on their console and have gone over a lot of hurdles, but in the long run they are by far the better console out there right now. Wii is fun, but does get old. Wii is more of a party console where a novice gamer or someone who doesn't play much games will usually enjoy a Wii game. The ONLY good game on the Wii that I have played that has much of a replayability has been the Wii sports game that comes with the console. I have a few friends that don't own any game besides Wii sports and really don't plan on buying any other games. Graphics wise, I have yet to see a game on the Wii that is comparable to the 360 or even the PS3. If you are not into too much backwards compatibility the 360 has a package that is 50 bucks more than the Wii and all you would need is a memory card and you are set.
