nintendo wii x-box 3-60 or playstation 3

One of the main reasons why Id continue with the Xbox series is if they could play predecessor games. So, can the 360 play Xbox 1 games??? This is because my old xbox shat itself (dvd drive just went to %^@#), and I have 50+ burnt games that I still wish to play.
Also, most console systems are far more expensive in Oz. The PS3 now is starting at prices of $650. VERY cheap. Wii is under $350, and the 360 is under $450. Things are looking better.
Forget the 360, but thats my ultimate choice.
 
I am trying to decide the same thing, which new console to get? You really have to ask yourself what kind of games you like to play? Do you like multiplayer,mini-games,rpg? that kind of thing. I would research the games that are out for each system and which games are in development, then decide by what you like to play. It is always hard to decide based on other peoples opinions because they usually have their favorite and may have different tastes than you do ? I admit that I LOVE PS2, but I haven't jumped on a PS3 because nothing about it has impressed me enough to spend the amount of cash they want for it. The same thing goes for WII and 360, I like to think that I am an open minded non-"fanboy" when it comes to choosing a new expensive game system? I am really tempted to buy a new system too but I always wait, you said yourself that you still enjoy your ps2, thats awesome, so do I, why don't you just go out and buy all of the PS2 games you always wanted but never had the chance to play? I think you would save a lot of cash and have a lot of fun for less money? My final advice is this, why buy a new system if none of them has impressed you enough to make a clear choice? I am just going to keep waiting until games comes out that I really want to play, eventually enough positives will appear for a particular console that you will easily be able to say "Thats the ONE I want %100 !" The worst thing that can happen is that the price goes down and you get it for a lot cheaper with games that you really want to play?

360 is backwards compatible with a bunch of games. You have to check on xbox.com under the games section to see what games are currently compatible. But its a pretty big list.
 
I looked on the list and all my games that I currently have are mostly on there, but the catch is that they are copied (Burnt). Would it still work if I played the burnt xbox 1 games, and how would I go about getting an 'emulator'???
 
The thing is that I had it chipped with an EvoX modchip and added some software that enabled me to hav more customisation and have some fun with my xbox 1.
This is turn, well IMO, wouldnt let me play burnt discs onto a new 360? Confusing.
 
I've played all three and have housemates that all 3 collectively and IMO,
the wii came bottom by a long way. It was only ever fun in a drunk party situation, on a sober individual level, I got as much fun out of the snez or the N64, if not more. Hardly ever play on it.

xbox is in the middle, as I didn't think it was as good as the ps3, and i'm too used to playing with ps controllers to adapt well with xbox's, but was still a good console.

After playing all of them, i'll be getting the ps3, as i prefer it in pretty much every way, I don't need it to store photos on, nor to play music on much, but if I did, I guess I still could. Yes it doesn't have anywhere near the amount of games as Xbox does at the moment, but there are enough good games to get me through till the point that they have released more-which is always going to come. Some future titles look really really good. Plus... blu ray- it's stunning (but would I guess depend on your tv).

I think your best off having a go on all of them, and seeing what you like best, 'cause for me the wii does nothing, but I know other people think they are the best fun out there.
