I hear lawnmowers are actually B/A when it comes to eating algae, pretty interesting to watch too.Kevin8888;4342747; said:Bad plan emerald crabs will get big and when they get big they decide algae is not as tasty as it once was... aka they will eat corals, snails, hermits, shrimp, and even the odd unlucky fish. Yes I suppose you could remove and replace as they become a problem but isn't that rather cruel considering a lawmower blenny will do fine (and doesn't need removing).

I would get snails. not those mystery snails they sell at petco but ask them to pick out some snails that live in the elodea or their other water plants my neighbor has them they are small reproduce fast and are efficient good luck.
