Non-Fader Red Texas Juvie

I have no intention of coming across as smug sorry. I just see the availability of so many low quality hybrids at big box stores as something that is not good for the flowerhorn keeping community. With all this buzz about these fish on here recently there have been some crazy posts (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about).
I disagree with your trashing my fish though. I'm confident in my selection of breeders and have my next few moves planned out with these guys. I'm seeing some great stuff and these guys are still small... I fully understand wanting to get something good for cheap but also urge people to buy from breeders who deal exclusively on this stuff. If they are not supported they will disappear.
If you didn't want to sound (SMUG) why Open the thread like you did sir?
Also, here you sound upset about the thread that Chris Opened for the Petsmart FH & even got put in your place there.
Now as confident as you may want to be on your purchases from your quality breeders it's still a gamble, just like others have pointed out to you.

Sick to death of all this petsmart petco fh and "rt" stuff being near the top of the hybrid forum
Color is coming in on this guy and that color is red. Crappy picture of an excellent fish that wont stop moving taken with a crappy camera! May try and get some more pics tonight if anyone cares to see them.

Here's your opening of this thread....
Looks like you're trying to sound smug to me.

I dont like the majority of these big box store fh. The majority are not as good as what you would get directly from a specialized breeder. Most breeders who care about quality would cull most of these.
Here you are trying to talk down again in a thread that's specific to Petsmart FH...
(SMUG)
Your opinions don't matter in this thread hun...:p
So please STOP posting your opinion about quality breeders...:irked:
This thread says Petsmart Kamfa FH... (NOT) specialized breeder Kamfa.:duh:
I'm SORRY that you don't like this thread, but I don't think it's going away.:chillpill:
-Jill ;)
this is my reply to you in that thread that you knew best to leave alone... but you continue to talk here... it's your way of being (SMUG).

^. +1. Totally putting people in their place. Lol Who cares that there not specified breeders fish. Thought this was a fish network. There fish they belong here as well. all the people against them go make another thread so those of us who like them don't have to listen to your stupidity on our thread

This is another member letting you know to back off...

I'm (NO) expert in hybrids here, but I can tell you sir that your attitude towards big box stores (as you call them) is EXTREMELY POOR & unfounded.

Thank You
-Jill :)
PS- Please refrain yourself from posting & making yourself look (BAD).
I'm also Sorry for not staying true to the thread, but I thought I'd let you know how (SMUG) you are.
and I like your Texas in this thread... just please try to be nicer to other members.

^ The opening to the thread was partly based on your (and a few other ppl's) replies to my post in another thread. Don't get me wrong I want to talk about this. I think you fail to hear my argument because you are psyched about buying a flowerhorn for cheap. You tried to cut me down for no reason and you are the one (you admit) who is new to hybrids. You see nothing wrong with the big chain stores selling these fish? When i first seen fh at one of these stores they were really ugly red dragons that were destroying each other in like a 20 gallon tank. You don't think there is something wrong with that?

Just to be clear I didn't get these fish pictured from any breeder they were bred by me. When i said I was confident in the quality of my breeders I was referring to my breeding fishes.

What do the parents look like? Did you do a Texas x BP cross like most people do?

I'm sorry you felt you had to open a thread in order to defend your earlier posts, but I'm (NOT) wrong in saying you where in the wrong. I may be new to Hybrids, but not to fish & breeding. So I know a little more than you give me credit for.

Also... your personal experience in your local big chain store doesn't mean that all big chain stores are experiencing the same neglect you have locally. If I was you I would complain to the store & follow the chain of command. If nothing is done on one level, take it to the next & so on. I can only speak for myself, but locally for me there are 3 Petsmarts & all are kept in good condition. Only thing I ever see wrong is the feeder fish. They are heavily overstocked & sometimes ill, but that's expected.

Now, I don't want to start an argument with you about this. Like I said... I am new to hybrids & learning as I go.
What I don't like is someone telling me that the fish I bought is TRASH because they don't like big chain stores.

The progress you are accumulating breeding these hybrids would be very helpful to others .If I was you I'd open a new thread in the breeding section & post your project/s results & discuss how you cull & raise them. I have an open thread you've commented in the breeding section & any questions are welcome there regarding that project. I believe you'd enjoy opening your own thread & sharing your knowledge with others.

No hard feelings
-Jill :)
