Are Aloncara cichlids related to Apisto? Beautiful fish...they remind me of dwarf cichlids. I wonder if Rams would do well in a smallish environment...?

Don't know anything about aloncaras. But I did have a pair of gold Rams in that tank before I ended up going apisto

I just set this 5gallon up in the garage(non heated) for about 10 Rosys. To grow out. I tried this last year but moved the Rosys too soon(temp was 85-90) into the 75 and the albino rainbow shark picked them off one by one. Hoping this time around I can get them bigger.

This tank will get little attention except for water issues and feeding. There is windows in the garage so it will get normal daytime/nighttime lighting.

I got the Rosy Reds in....so, this 'project' is under way. I got some at decent size so hopefully they will grow before summertime(unlike the last batch that stayed small).
