North Korea Test Fires Missiles

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
whatever n. korea is thinking... the world is watching and preparing. war may come along with it since it is not only a simple missle they are trying to test. don't forget they are doing nuclear too. in the long run.. like sadam hussein.. scud missles.. they wanted to do that and it ended up going into desert storm (iraq and kuwait). n. korea is already in hot water. and with china and russia not backing the UN council... smells fishy to me. n. korea and china has the same government structure and style. hopefully china will not follow like n. korea. china was a sleeping giant but now they are racing for power too. going back... n. korea must accept things in reality. they think like in the 1940s when the WWII broke out. they want to take over the world, it's like an ant trying to bite a cow.. hoping for it to die.

would anyone gladly volunteer/ allow themselves to be drafted if we are attacked and forced into war?

id be glad too fight :headbang2

the object of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other bastards die for theres.

it is a worthy cause, liberating the n. koreans...but i'll be honest i dont want to die.
CNN News Update:
bush's solution to this problem is diplomacy, he has asked the 6 nations to enfore harsher sanctions on n. korea. japan and south korea have agreed but russia and china are hesitant.
also, dictator kim joong il (spelled it wrong probably) has requested a meeting with bush but bush rejected the offer. bush wants to meet with n korea, but wants other nations to be there.
n. korea has also vowed to continue missile testing.

ok, whats a sanction? and what kind of diplomacy is bush talkin about?

Do you seriously think for one moment that you are at risk from attack from the North Koreans? I don't think so.

Bush invaded Iraq under the guise of freeing the Iraqi people from an oppressive government and to stop the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. If the N. Koreans needed such liberating, and the regime are testing weapons of mass destruction, why has Bush not invaded?

Simple.....no economic gains to be had in the form of oil or other natural resources. Another case of hypocracy.

From alot of the earlier posts, it seems to me that alot of you seem to be trigger happy; the answer does not lie in going in all guns blazing and nuking the hell out of everything just because you happen to wield the biggest stick. Iraq is a prime example of this. Sure you can invade a country, bomb the hell out of it, remove its leaders, but can you deal with the aftermath?

Yeah, it's a good thing we went in there to get their oil. Now that we have so much it's dirt-cheap!

What was the question again? ;) Historically, this is THE short-term solution to complex issues. While most of us on this board (I would hope) find this "answer" ethically wrong, in what case would it be right? For the US government, it often appears that Bush & co. find threats to our national stability to be just cause for such action. North Korea's hostile and provocative attitude hasn't destabilized us, or even SouthEast Asia, yet. If they persist, however, that day may come, and the markets will demand military action (even if limited in scope and duration). Curiously, I would think Australians would find more alarming about North Korean posturing than we Americans - your economic positioning is far more dependant upon Asian markets than us.

I think Bush should just get some teardrops tattoed under his eyes for every person he's had killed - that should cause Kim Jong-Il to rethink things, right?

J (how's that for tieing some threads together?)

Hey, we haven't test fired our old collection of nukes lately...we should test them...on North Korea!

I dont think US can do a damn thing about N korea and their missles. Also, I think its true about theres no advantage into invading N Korea, but there is in Iraq.
