Norwegian 530 gallon stainless steel

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah black always looks great with planted tanks. Very cool pickup! I'm jealous of that price tag, wow.

I tried Joey DIY's method, made 2 acrylic baffles drilled with 5mm holes. Bonded with MS polymer (transparent TEC7)

Finally painted the tank, 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of carboline carboguard epoxy

Added a dedicated water heater for the massive weekly waterchanges, to keep the wife happy :)

What's that going on at the bottom right corner of the front glass? That white stuff.

I think that if it were me I would run a continuous bead of silicone on all the interior joints before progressing. It's a 5-minute job now; much bigger deal later if a leak still exists.

Any opinions on this stocking? Room for more?

Thanks for the feedback. I like the idea of polishing, but I have a lot of things and plumbing to hide...

I'm sure it was expensive to built, but I got it with the stand for $200, it was a steal :)

I've looked at Pond Armor epoxy paint, any other suggestions?
And what turnover would you recommend for a 100gallon moving bed sump (100 litres k1)

Maybe I am just paranoid but looking at that stand gives me nightmares. I wouldn't trust it to hold 500 gallons of water

Sweet tank!
I don't have Monster tanks, but I also think that it would be possible/cheap to add some cross bars to the legs. Smartly, without affecting access too bad.
It is possible the stand is sufficient as is, but why risk it. Somebody could be hurt badly.
Good luck!
