Well it did not take long for us to restock. Where I live we have a lfs where the owner is a Koi fanatic. He has a 15X30 outdoor pond just for show along with 3 outdoor swimming pools with Koi for sale. This does not include the 6 swimming pools he has just for breeding. We spent about an hour there picking out our new babies. I will have to try and get pics cause we got some really awesome fish.
 
I feel for you and was almost in the same boat last week. I left my waterchanger on all night and 1/2 the next day before I realized it on my 750g tank (close to 20 hours). The changer pumps in ~1 gallon every minute so all of the water was replaced more than once. The temp went from 80 to ~60 but amazingly enough I didn't lose 1 fish. Sorry you were not so fortunate.

I am notorious for leaving to hose on....
Luckily my house has bad water pressure. When I leave the hose unattened, I remember it is on when I goto use a fixture in the house and it trickles out.

Keep your chin up, and get a timer.

Ditto. Mine comes from a well water about 2km from my house.
 
I have come up with the perfect plan, fill a cooler with some beer, turn off the cell phone, and sit next to the pond in a lawn chair when filling. Isn't that what a pond is meant for?
 
damn sorry, happened to me too years ago. thats why i will never again build a pond without a HUDSON VALVE. you should look into it, they work great. do a google search
