I loved that liz, seeing that camel doing lead changes and half passes was funny (i think its half passes LOL). My mother used to have a percheron, she got him when he was six and was trained to pull but not to saddle, very soon she had him broke to saddle and over the years did level one and two dressage with him. He took to it fantastic. He was such a good boy too, his name was ty. She had to put him down last winter, he was in his 20's and had been going down hill for several months. She entered him in the dressage classes at the state fair or mi expo , he was the only non saddle horse there and they got second place (it was both of their first shows) you know how judging can be, shows how good he actually was. I really liked seeing this camel, interesting.

I have some pics of me riding ty on a trail camping trip at "the pidgeon natl. forest in MI. I will try to find them and scan them into the computer to show you. It will take a while though.
i want to see those pics..so let me know asap that you have them..

I thought gelding meant snip snip? When I saw the re: line I thought I was in for some carnage :) Though not as graceful I would put camels and horses on same intelect level. That must have been the talk of the show.

I'm sure the camels are happy that we have exposed them to ... gelding.

Do you think that men would be better behaved if we...... hummmmm?????

I was helping a farrier one time at a horse rescue I was volunteering at, trying to trim a mare who REALLY didn't appreciate the pedicure. After another little round of freaking out, the farrier say something along the lines of "she's just acting like a pain in the ass b*tch... typical woman" and shoots me a look (we knew each other... he was just being a smartass) but I replied back "yeah, and think of all the crap we woudln't have to put up with if the guys were gelded too?" :)

I'll try to find a picture of the 2 I'm working with now, and I'll post them up when I get them.
This isn't great, just a camera phone pic, but its all I have right now
