Anyway, Benifica540, and dovii88? You do make a good point about getting flamed, and dissed, it should not happen,,,,but,
Please don't get to upset if people try to say that you are over stocking, you know it already, just say you know it and are readyto deal with it, (if you explain how you will do so this becomes a helpful thread, especially for those with smaller tanks), any info on how to constructively deal with fish that overgrow your tanks is helpful.
As for me I find someone ine the market for the max size fish you arer willing or able to support (don't expect a profit) or if unusual species or in a target group and you can plan about 6-12 months ahead, maybe an public aquarium. If you are willing to pay postage the large aquariums damaged by the hurricane will take almost any oddball or prime specimen that has not yet been replaced, you might even get a tax credit.

Thank You Guppy. I'll just keep explaining in those threads my plans for my tanks. I always have the fishes best interest in mind whenever I purchase one. My tanks aren't overstocked, but I understand why some people overstock them. :D

That is a great statement and a common value for all (Monster)FishKeepers

I'm glad that this point got brought up. Guppy said it best (as usual), there is no reason for insults. I've read most of this thread and I have yet to see somebody put up a valid argument defending people that respond to questions in a condescending manner. (that was sarcastic, the reason being that there is no good defense for that, so I hope the "high horse" people take note and fix their approach to giving good advice). I've also noticed that this thread evolved into a "tank crowding" issue. well, we could go on and on about that, but I would like to bring it back to the rudeness issue. Seeing as that was the original direction this thread was supposed to take, I would like to point out a positive in this. For all of the new people here, and for all of the "high horse" people, you should read guppy's responses to things. That is how a person of respect and intelligence gets a point across. no insults, no beefs, just facts, honest opinions, and a polite delivery of information. i never met the guy, but I've followed his advice and have found good results. I have been "put down" on this forum, (as much as fish insults can phase a person i guess), and found no benefit from it.

bottom line: keep it respectful, keep it informative, keep it fun, accept feedback

Well said. I have found that most of the insults are derived from someone who has "lost" an argument or just doesn't know enough to back up their opinion.

Rally, you and downset hit the nail on the head. Lets be informative, and if we are wrong, lets learn instead of belittling the person that is trying to help you.
