Yea it just started in dallas. It is taking place on the "Grassy Knoll". Corporations are becoming the death of our society with their wastful spending. This finacial fallout has been coming for a long time. People do also need to realize that if you charge more for something than your father did you are adding to the depreciation of the dollar. I am one of those "unemployed". As a smaller public contractor it has become near to impossible to show enough profits to stay in buisiness. I even ended up taking on a contract to secure foreclosed properties and ended up getting screw for over 40k. I have now "closed up shop" , lost my own home and drained almost all my resouces to the point of having to sell or get rid of all my acquisitions from all my hard work and dedication. As I have been going broke cost of everything has been shooting up only accelerating my downfall. I still refuse to use gov. help in anyway. I even pay full price for my son's school lunches even though we would now qualify for reduced. People need to learn to be more self-sufficient and stop this disgusting trend. You cannot find any profitable, honorable buisinesses anymore. Everyone is out trying to scam someone else, the corporations are the biggest culprits. Take a stand even if you don't think you are effected, cause you soon will be.

aren't you hurting yourself more by paying more and refusing help instead of decreasing the time it'd take to get back on your feet?

Corporations have strong tendencies to provide crappy products and services at high prices.

And now they are doing what they can to squeeze out small business and hamstring anything public because those sectors are the last real competition that they have.

the 99% needs to start acting like 99% if they want to get taken seriously. you only have strength in numbers when everyone is working towards the same goal.

not only do they need to state specifically what their problems are, they also have to present a coherent solution... and that's only step ONE.

my prediction is that people are going to get bored with the feel good party after a few weeks and it's going to fizzle out.

call me cynical, but i don't want these people calling the shots any more than i do the corporations.

The media is making a very good point right now of making this sound as if it is a disorganized and sometimes violent movement. The reason you are not hearing of the coherent and unified position is that it is not being covered as such. The media is trying really hard to find the most incoherent individuals to post as the spokespeople for this movement. What they are not saying and are not showing is that a whole bunch of Ron Paul supporters, Marxists, Unionists, Some Tea party and libertarians are all sitting around together on a very common ideology. The little anarchist kids in their drum circles and groupthink planning are in the minority in this.

This is what we are talking about....

A bunch of college kids are making ridiculous demands like forgiving all debt, especially their college debt. They want guaranteed wages even if they aren't working. All sorts of other socialist ideals, because the folks on Wall Street only care about themselves. I like the ideas, but when you listen to them, and what they are actually asking for, well let's just say don't expect much to happen here.

tl;dr it's just dissent, nothing to see.

some silly ideas you sighted there that are not only not going to happen but if they did it would not work or accomplish anything.

And let's not forget that the media legally can lie to us and give extremely skewed coverage of events (as they have done in the past and are still are doing) as per the First Amendment and a court case ruling that supported that ability.

I think we can all agree media has not legitimately reported on anything pertaining to the economy and most of the pundits and "professionals" who comment on it are pushing an agenda and don't tell it like it is. I'm disheartened by most of everything I see and hear on TV and how its so far from the trueth, this is why I no longer have cable.

I can agree, their demands are too high and almost impossible to meet...

but with the OP permission. I don't want to highjack the thread but I planned on making one that included this issue and was going to title it "Is Occupy Wall Street the trigger?"

As we all know the Economy hasn't gotten any better, Countries around the world are going crazy with protest. Greece and Spain are in major hurt . Countries credits are being downgraded. Gold is shooting up while the dollar continues to fall. Big Business that got bailed out are starting to tank again as they gobbled up the bailout money already.

I'm not one to believe in Conspiracy theories but things are pointing more and more to to stuff like what those people at newamerica7 yell about.

Here's a link, but view at your own risk (he says it will offend some).

Edit: The funny thing about the website is in the end they ask for money if you want further updates(subscribe)

Also... when you go to close the site it will pop up and ask you if you are sure.. If you click the 'X" or hit cancel it leaves written information as it starts with a video.

There are some very bogus and or outdated tid bits of info spread out in the vid.

The euro is probably the most toxic currency out there right now and he's saying the euro is on the rise in terms of popularity at the same time as a EURO zone break up is actually being talked abou.

Because I am a proud man that believes in less government is more. If you don't push yourself you are not putting yourself in any better situation. I refuse to take part in digging the hole any deeper. Everything I own is high end. How much of a peice of sheet would you feel like showing up at a welfare or foodstamp office driving a Benz? I still have resources that I can exhaust and believe I can and will provide for my family regardless of the economic depression we are in. It just sucks knowing that the hardships we are facing is due to other peoples actions that are supposed to be playing on the same team.

If it wasn't for Germany's economy the euro would of already collapsed.
