Props to you, man! This is what America is supposed to be all about: Taking our fates into our own hands rather than letting others do the work for us.
A lot of unhappy people will come out and protest, a lot people will not know anything other than they are out of a job and unhappy. It just seems the closer you get to the nitty gritty of why things are happening this way, the less people care or want to get involved. The police "brutality" will end up getting all the news time.

offers lots of interesting insight and facts but it is honestly not up to date. It is also clearly a marketing ploy. That being said I think it points out that america and its financial sector isn't leading the world in the right direction and hasn't been in several decades. It rightfully sights that we are on a crash course for disaster given our currently unsustainable course. I differ from him by thinking that if we restructured our government with business in mind we could not only recover but set a course for another century of american dominance in the markets. Unlike the popular republican opinion I don't think government is the problem, or even that it is the solution as democrats would suggest but rather that it is an important piece of the puzzle. If america as a brand is in decline and we realize that a governments job in an international economy such as we are saying is to do more than deffend freedoms but is to also compete for business as well as for people by association then you see the role government can fill. Restructuring our taxes (something for some reason that republicans are afraid of???) ok I'm doing that thing where I ramble on about political philosophy. Needless to say the disheartening thing is though I know not exactly what would be the specific choices that would lead us where we need to go but only the general idea I see no candidates or parties on the horizon that will do what is needed but rather a nation in the grip of partisan bickering and a media that is at a loss to make itself relevant.

It has come to Seattle...I support them and will be joining the protests as soon as my car is fixed to drive that far.

As long as you don't mention the sides and who's running things...you can walk the line. I don't deny it's borderline
I do find it funny that actors are getting involved they are part of the upper class
Germany isn't doing well, their economy didn't grow and exports are down.
The next few months will be interesting. If you're a trader, this is your time to trade because the market swings makes money both ways.
There's a protest going on at the University about half an hour from here and the city is trying to stop it by not authorizing a permit to have an assembly in a public location. They are also threatening to arrest everyone still in the park after 10pm.
Ryan how can one take their fate into their own hands when you have already been predestined to be cattle for the profit of a master? Work is supposed to be dignity but in this nation and in this political and economic climate we can have anything but dignity. All we have is Slavery with an open cage. I agree entirely with Zoohouse in that just like him no matter what I will provide for my family and even friends. I too push myself harder and harder to better myself, my family and my community. I do not want others than my own carrying me. I want to work and I want to have a dignified existence with something even pretending to be dignity and potential. Then the Bankers come in and the corporations and the government Bought by them sucking ever so much more dry.. They are sucking every last bit of dignity one can have all in the name of MAXIMIZED PROFIT. This economic and political system is corrupt as all hell and is an abomination to Dignity of self... Us in the 99% are just cattle and sheep to these fiends they use us and abuse us in every imaginable way to suck the life out of us...And for what? Themselves and their sick profit margin... These con artists have people so stupefied that we can not even see the cages we are in.. Rather we just blame Immigrants, The Blacks, The Homosexuals, The Jews, The "democrats", the "Republicans", The Liberals, The Socialists, the conservatives, The Tea party .... Ad nausem... They divide us to conquer us and to keep our sights off of them the real cause of all misery..
United States is supposed to be a nation where one can as individuals take our fate into our own hands and live in Dignity... That though is just a pipedream these Days as we have all been sold out to the highest bidder..
